Windows, WindowsCE

DialectDialect is a general purpose basic-style programming language for Windows 9x/ME/2000/XP and CE that allows developers to write cross-platform applications (Win32 / WinCE). Dialect has an integrated development environment with debugger that works on desktop and handheld PCs. It supports sockets, serial ports, files, registry access, DLLs, GUI elements, encryption (BlowFish), printing. It may handle exceptions and its code is pre-compile for fast execution. Dialect supports also regular expressions and ADO database. Dialect generates stand-alone executables but it does'nt have a GUI editor. The package has a comprehensive help file available as a printable (Word) document.
A really good GUI editor for Dialect is Guilect (see snapshot). Guilect lets you dynamically add controls to a form. You can then position and resize them dynamically. Once you are done designing your form, Guilect will automatically generate the Dialect Script for those objects.
